REI Advisory Council

WANT TO TRANSFORM LIVES WITH US?

The Real Estate Investor Advisory Council (REIAC) is a joint effort of The HomeQuest Group and Project Outreach to provide housing and training to underserved populations in order for them to become self-sufficient, productive contributors to society.  We invite real estate investors, landlords, general contractors and professionals in the real estate industry to participate.

Homelessness and recidivism is relatively high among justice-involved individuals, aging-out youth and veterans. We believe in order to significantly reduce these conditions, you have to address the core issues that impact them – housing, employment, training and development. Project Outreach, a 501c3 training and development organization, has developed a systematic approach to positively impact these areas and The HomeQuest Group has actively deployed its system in one of its properties.

REIAC was developed to directly impact the demographics Project Outreach serves in the capacity of training and development through opportunities in the real estate industry and you can positively impact its vision and mission.

Benefits

Aside from feeling good about helping someone else, the direct benefits to council members are:

  • Increased revenue

  • Increased occupancy rates

  • New joint ventures

  • Company exposure

  • Participation in community development opportunity

  • Positively impacting the community

As a result of REIAC, the community will experience neighborhood revitalization and a centralized location for emergency, transitional and permanent housing for landlords and case managers.

We are committed to creating these outcomes and as a result of these benefits, each council member is expected to donate 10% of their net earnings created from the council to Project Outreach.  So if you have increased your revenue by $10,000 as a result of REIAC, you will donate $1,000 to Project Outreach to help it continue its vision.  You will receive a donation letter to submit with your taxes at the end of the year.

Why recreate the wheel when we can create synergy together?  This is a GREAT CAUSE to join and you get to increase revenue while helping others!  We transform lives in many different ways and we invite you to be a part of it.

Who Can Participate?

We only have a few council member appointments, so we are actively looking for real estate investors, landlords, general contractors and real estate-industry professionals who have a desire to help underserved and underrepresented populations. Those may include veterans, justice-involved individuals, aging-out youth, individuals with disabilities and elderly. So we invite real estate agents, mortgage bankers, credit restoration specialists and other real-estate related professionals to participate.

Time Commitment

This is a yearly appointment.  Each council member would be expected to attend a monthly meeting with their committee and a quarterly meeting with the General Body. Each meeting is allotted 60 minutes and is task driven to efficiently run the meetings. Council members who desire to operate in a leadership role as a board member will be expected to participate in a 60-minute Board meeting monthly to ensure all committees are on task.

Are you willing to give 16 hours a year to transform one or more lives?  Then join REIAC and give back to your city.

TRANSFORMED LIVES TRANSFORM CITIES!
