Renting Your Way To Homeownership
In our Homeownership NOW program, we restore homes and allow individuals to live in the home while we are getting them qualified to buy. This process is called lease options.
Is one of our lease option properties a good option for you? Here are some things to consider. These are not rentals and we are not looking for people who want to rent only. We want people who want to become a homeowner and if you like the property, you can move in and eventually own it.
In order to qualify for our program, you need to be able to put down 3-5% of the purchase price. This will cover all your fees and give you the exclusive option to buy this property, which prevents the seller from selling the property until you exercise your option or up to two years, whichever comes first. So if the property is 100K, you can expect to put down up to $5,000 + first month’s rent to begin the process.
If your credit score is less than 660, you will be highly encouraged to work with a qualified credit restoration specialist and mortgage broker to assess your credit so you can qualify for a mortgage. As a note, you are not required to participate, but your success is rooted in diligence with your credit restoration and most people are not disciplined to manage the process themselves.
